Karan Johar has some advice for Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter this New Year
Karan Johar has introduced many new faces in Bollywood. Five years ago, KJo gave Bollywood Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. And this year, Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter will be making their big Bollywood debut with KJo's Dhadak .
But before their big entry on the big screen, mentor Karan Johar has penned down an emotional letter for his new students. With the onset of 2018, Karan has shared a few words of wisdom with Ishaan and Janhvi asking them to enjoy this initial stage of their career to the fullest.
During a radio show, Karan read the note. He said, "It's a new year which means new beginnings and time for new relationship goals. Dear Janhvi and Ishaan, you are going to embark on a new journey of stardom this year. You will face many firsts in 2018 from promotion to paparazzi to link-ups and trolling to fame and failures. You are going to see it all."
"Through all of this, I just want to remind you to not take yourself too seriously and absorb every new experience because these initial days will never come back again. Janhvi, Ishaan your best qualities are that you all are still students," added the filmmaker.
Karan also asked them to not take themselves too seriously. "That you both really stand by your beliefs and the fact that you really don't take yourself as seriously as I sometimes think you should. I love the fact that you are still vulnerable and innocent, please hold onto that," said Karan.
Dhadak, which is a remake of Marathi film Sairat, is set to hit the screens in July this year.
